Notes:

Please read carefully before placing an order.

  • Please understand that lacquer, being a natural material, can appear quite differently depending on the season. Mother-of-pearl (raden) shares this same characteristic. As a result, each finished pen will have its own unique character. This variability is part of the charm of lacquerware. If you are not comfortable with this, we kindly ask that you refrain from placing an order.

  • We kindly ask that requests to reproduce customer-provided images, motifs, or designs from other makers be refrained from. We accept orders only from those who truly appreciate and resonate with Bokumondoh’s original work and artistic expression.

  • For the Pilot Vanishing Point/Capless, we only accept requests if the clip is removed by the customer before shipping. The clip will be reattached after the work is completed.

  • Depending on the pen model and the chosen design, we generally do not recommend applying urushi to the grip section, as the added lacquer thickness may cause difficulty when capping.

  • We can purchase certain fountain pen models from Eboya, Sailor, and Pilot on your behalf. If you would like these pens to be lacquered, please let us know.
