Order flow:

The following is an overview of our current process. Please be sure to read this carefully.

1. Select the design you prefer from those shown in the Gallery of Past Work.
   
   
2. Please send your request via the form. In your message, please be sure to include a note confirming that any clips or roll stops can be removed.
   
   
3. Once we receive your request, we will send you a confirmation email.  After we reach an agreement on the work details, I will add you to the waiting list.
   
   
4. We will contact you when it is your turn in the queue, and you may then ship the pen to us in Japan.
   
   
5. We will notify you once we receive your pen and then begin the work. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for completion.
   
   
6. Once we have completed the lacquering, I will send you photos of the pen to ensure that you are satisfied with our work.
   
   
7. We will send you the payment request via PayPal.
   
   
8. We will ship the pen to you via EMS once we have confirmed your payment.

Notes:

• Please understand that lacquer, being a natural material, can appear quite differently depending on the season. Mother of pearl (raden) also shares this characteristic. As a result, each finished pen will have its own unique character. This variability is part of the charm of lacquerware. If you are uncomfortable with this characteristic, I kindly ask that you consider refraining from placing an order.
  
  
• Regarding the Pilot Vanishing Point/Capless, we will only accept requests from customers who remove the clip themselves before shipping. I will reattach it after the work is completed.
  
  
• If possible, please remove the nib before shipping.
  
  
• We can purchase certain fountain pen models from Eboya, Sailor and Pilot on your behalf. If you would like those pen to be lacquered, please let me know.
